Week 5 of OCS

Howdy. I got a few minutes on a computer and so I'm blogging from freaking cold Quantico, VA. It's supposed to warm up this week, but it has been in the single and negative digits frequently out here...which sucks for training.

This week I have a billeted position, so I'm hoping it goes much better than my last. Keep praying for me, as this is definately some tough training. I'll try to update next weekend.

OCS Update

Aaron's first Liberty was this weekend. He is doing really well, but is exhausted. He toughest part about OCS so far is just how physically demanding it is. So far, out of the initial 300 candiates, 66 have been dropped; many of the drops due to failing the phyiscal fitness tests. Aaron anticipates the candidate pool to grow smaller next week with the oppertunity available to Drop On Request (DOR).

About 1/3 of the candidates are prior service and Aaron actually ran into someone he went to boot camp with. Please keep Aaron in your prayers in the coming weeks and months as new challenges and struggles will be presented.
